Feminism is a movement caused by the imbalance position of women in society. first, women are limited by culture, tradition and gender. but now feminism is not foreign to our ears. feminism is a struggle to get women's rights and gender equality are equal to men in all fields, both in the economic, social, political, cultural, etc.
However, feminism now widely misinterpreted by the women themselves. they are supposed to raise self-esteem, even dropping the price themselves. whereas feminism was founded by her predecessor to raise the dignity and worth of women, but now misunderstood.
Many women want to do the things done by men only in order to equalize gender.whereas it would prejudice the woman herself. one example is smoking. many women smoke as did the men to be considered equal and assume that smoking not only be done by men only, but women can also do it. whereas it will only hurt herself.
Another example is virginity. in Indonesia, many women think that virginity is not something to be grasped again. they think that many men do not keep their virginity, then why do women have to maintain it? . Another reason is nowadays not unusual when a woman is not virgin anymore. yet they are very detrimental to herself, humbled herself before men and that all they are doing without them knowing it.
Mistake that would have to be straightened. in fact feminism has a very noble goal, namely raise the dignity and worth of women, not to change women into men's competition and demeaning women. we can fight with things better and right, without prejudice and lowered self-esteem. women today can become president, prime minister, producers, etc who formerly performed by the male majority. now, women or men are equal, have equal rights.
